Video: The Byte - Google investigated, Facebook marriage, Windows Aero gone, Twitter privacy changes

Google has a matter of weeks to address four antitrust issues identified by EU antitrust regulators. If Google addresses them then the case can be solved by what's called a commitment decision instead of formal proceedings and fine. The Commission began investigating in November 2010.

Following Facebook's IPO, CEO Mark Zuckerberg married longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan in a surprise wedding at the couple's Palo Alto home. The 100 guests thought there were attending a party for Chan's med school graduation. The CEO's status update has more than a million likes.

Microsoft will ditch the Aero user interface in Windows 8, calling the UI that debuted in Vista cheesy and dated. The company said that the new UI will be clean and crisp, without the glass and reflection that marked Aero. Users won't see it until later this year.

Twitter alerted users in an email Sunday about changes to its privacy policy and service usage. Twitter's also supporting the do not track function found in browsers and when activated it will stop tailoring your account based on the places you visit on the Web.
