Video: The Byte - Motorola antitrust, Samsung Tab delayed, Google deception, flying car


Europe’s competition regulator has launched two antitrust investigations into Motorola Mobility. Following complaints by Apple and Microsoft the EC will look into whether Motorola failed to license standards-essential patents on Frand terms required by the Comission and standards organizations.

Samsung has delayed its Galaxy Tab 2 family until the end of April. The tabs debuted at Mobile World Congress in February and should have been on sale in March. Samsung said it and Google need more time to work on Ice Cream Sandwich.

Google is responsible for misleading and deceptive ads that  use the name of a company to direct traffic to a competitor’s site an Australian court ruled Tuesday. The Federal Court said that Google, violated the Trade Practices Act. Google said it’s reviewing its options.

The Pal-V one flying car took to the skies this week in the Netherlands. Unlike fixed wing competitors, this flying car converts into a helicopter.  The company said vehicle on the ground drives like a sports car. First deliveries are expected in 2014.
