Video: The Byte - car tech, Twitter changes, anti-phishing fight


A new report cautions that vehicle safety authorities don't have anywhere near enough expertise to regulate the usage of software control systems in cars and paints a picture of a chaotic set of circumstances.

Twitter now has the ability to remove a tweet from its users feeds in a particular country, but it hasn't done so yet. This could make the service less relevant as a political tool, but might help unmask censorship.

Industry heavyweights like Facebook, Google, Paypal and others are pushing for the use of a new tech standard called DMARC. It could thwart phishers from spoofing email addresses and scamming victims.
