Video: CES 2012: In final keynote Microsoft's Ballmer talks about Windows 8, future of Kinect

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer joined TV host Ryan Seacrest for the company’s last CES keynote. The company offered little of note, but Seacrest kept the show moving along. Much of the keynote focused on Windows 8, the company’s upcoming operating system that will run on both PCs and tablets. With what Microsoft calls its metro style interface apps will play an important part of the OS’s success.

Ballmer also talked about one of the company’s other headlining products, Microsoft Kinect.

While many anticipated Bill Gates making a surprise appearance at the final keynote he was nowhere to be seen, except in a short video that chronicled the company’s 15 years of keynotes.
