Video: Toshiba announces three new Tablets


Toshiba announced its tablet strategy spanning small, medium and large screens. At one end of the spectrum was the AT700 Regza Tablet is based on Android honeycomb, is 7.7mm thick and has a 10.1 inch display. It’s powered by a dual core 1.2 gigahertz processor and has a variety of ports including HDMI and microSD. It will be available in mid December.

Moving up in size is the dynabook R631, an Ultrabook that weighs just over a kilogram and is about 16mm at its thickest point. It has a 13.3-inch LED screen, a 128gb solid state drive and runs an Intel Core i5 processor. It will be available starting in Japan in early October.

And just when you thought your wallet could take a rest after buying a 3D TV, Toshiba is planning for the next wave with a 4k2k television. Its 55” glasses free 3D TV has 4 times the resolution of HD at of 3840 by 2160 pixels. The Regza 55X3 will be available in mid December in Japan for 900-thousand Yen or an astounding 12-thousand US dollars.
