5. G-Data Internet Security 2011
- Reviewed on: 31 December 10
- RRP: £30 inc. VAT
- Rating:

Ultimately, G-Data Internet Security 2011 is affordable and works well, but it's just too difficult to use, system speed under its thumb is questionable, and it features several poor design quirks that are hard to overlook.
4. Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2011
- Reviewed on: 3 January 11
- RRP: £39 inc. VAT
- Rating:

If you're a more advanced user, you may want to look elsewhere for a suite that offers more fine-tuned controls. But if you're looking for something that provides good protection and doesn't require you to fiddle with settings, Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2011 is worth a look.
3. BitDefender Internet Security 2011
- Reviewed on: 12 January 11
- RRP: £39 inc. VAT
- Rating:

BitDefender Internet Security 2011 is something of a budget option, and while it has its issues - and its security capabilities could use an upgrade - it's still a good fit for almost any class of user.
2. Microsoft Security Essentials
- Reviewed on: 8 December 10
- RRP: Free
- Rating:

There's a lot to like about Microsoft Security Essentials, but we were a little disappointed by its malware detection and attack blocking - after all, antivirus software is only as good as its ability to keep your PC protected. Hopefully, Microsoft will bolster Security Essentials' threat-blocking capabilities in a future update, but until then, you'd be better served by going with something having better detection capabilities, such as Avira AntiVir Personal.
1. Symantec Norton Internet Security 2011
- Reviewed on: 18 January 11
- RRP: £49.99 inc VAT for a three PC licence
- Rating:

With solid protection across the board and some impressive test results, Norton easily earned our Best Buy crown.
