Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is set to bring its Honor range of smartphones to Europe this week.

A new website setup by the firm is offering a competition to win one of the first Honor smartphones in Europe. A countdown clock suggests that the new device will be revealed tomorrow (28 October) with the tag line 'for the brave'. There's already an HonorEU Twitter account which has posted a few teasers.

The Honor website touts 'industry leading screen-ratio and display definition', 'industry leading downloads, processor & photo capture' and 'industry leading battery-life with smart power consumption'.

Huawei's Honor smartphones, such as the Honor Holly, Honor 3C and Honor 6 have been available in countries such as China and India but it appears that the firm will bring one or more to Europe. The firm's last launch was the Huawei Ascend P7.

The smartphones on the Honor launch website and teaser video (below) all look very much like the Honor 6 which features a 5in Full HD screen, octa-core processor, 13 Mp camera made by Sony, Cat 6 LTE, and 2.7 days of battery life from the 3100 mAh battery.

We'll be at Huawei's launch event tomorrow for the Honor so join us to find out all the details including release date, price and specifications for whatever smartphones are launched. Whatever is launched, it's likely to come with Android 4.4 KitKat rather than Android 5.0 Lollipop as the Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 haven't arrived yet.
