Huawei Ascend P7 launch as it happened: New smartphone unveiled in Paris

Still set on cracking the smartphone market in Europe, namely the UK, Huawei held a press conference in Paris to launch its new handset. The Chinese firm unveiled its Ascend P7 smartphone.

As with many smartphone launches details of the Ascend P7 have been leaked online. Along with the photo below from cnBeta, the site reveals that the device will feature a 5in Full HD screen, a quad-core Kirin 910T processor and 2GB of RAM. It will also supposedly feature a 13Mp rear camera and an 8Mp snapper at the front.

It is thought that there are dual-SIM card slots as well as a microSD card slot for expanding the storage on the handset. The Huawei Ascend P7 is expected to ship with Android 4.4 KitKat and the firm's Emotion UI.
