The best games you can play on your Wii

5. Wii Sports Resort
- Reviewed on: 28 July 09
- RRP: £49 inc. VAT
- Rating:

Although time will tell whether it achieves the same phenomenal success of the original, Wii Sports Resort has the great same mix of innovation and accessibility. Much like how you marveled at the first swing of the bat in Wii Sports, tossing your first frisbee or shooting your first arrow will be just as fun as it is memorable. It's not perfect, but it is an awesome tech showcase and a damned fun game.
4. Madden NFL 10
- Reviewed on: 11 August 09
- RRP: £39 inc. VAT
- Rating:

But even with the iffy AI and the unrealistic number of interceptions, Madden 10 is still a deeply involving experience. It's also evolved away from previous Madden installments, focusing your attention on actually performing on the field and making the superfluous details optional. Yes it still is a "repackaged roster update" but it also expertly executes on the new ideas, making for a game that blends the best of the past and the future. It's a damn fine football game and one I highly recommend you try out.
3. Guitar Hero 5
- Reviewed on: 3 September 09
- RRP: £39 inc. VAT
- Rating:

Guitar Hero has been around forever and honestly, we were starting to get a little tired of the formula. But after seeing Guitar Hero 5 in action, I have to say that I'm not quite ready to give up my plastic instruments yet. With a wide selection of tracks and some awesome new features, GH5 will be keeping us rocking for a while yet.
2. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11
- Reviewed on: 18 June 10
- RRP: £39 inc. VAT
- Rating:

Otherwise, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is largely the same as - or slightly improved over - previous iterations in the series, but that'll work for most fans. Just like the players of the sport it's based on, the series sees gradual improvement over time through iteration, though it's fair to say a figurative shot in the arm wouldn't be unwelcome from time to time.
1. Super Mario Galaxy 2
- Reviewed on: 10 June 10
- RRP: £31.99
- Rating:

If Super Mario Galaxy was the Sex Pistols - thrilling, revolutionary, capable of making everything else look instantly out of date - then Galaxy 2 is Blondie: a touch derivative, but sharper, better-looking and more fun. Galaxy had the ideas; Galaxy 2 exploits them to the full (and adds a few of its own). Offering something for everyone – from subtly integrated hand-holding for newbies to some of the most challenging level design yet for Mario veterans - this is the new best game on the Nintendo Wii.
