5. Archos 7
- Reviewed on: 28 June 10
- RRP: £355 inc. VAT
- Rating:

The Archos 7 performs a set of core tasks reasonably well, and comes at very reasonable price. On the other hand, the touchscreen is hard to operate, and you can't buy new apps at the Android Market. Many Android smartphones in the same price range (with contract) perform much better and can access better apps, although the Archos 7 does bring a larger screen. People who want a low-priced Android tablet now may be happy with the purchase. However, we can't help thinking that you'd be able to get more for your buck from the spate of new Android tablets that will hitting the shelves in the coming months. The Archos 7 comes with a USB cable and a power cable with various adaptors and headphones.
4. Philips GoGear Muse

The Philips GoGear Muse is a stunning piece of engineering that feels bombproof. It’s also multitalented, offering decent-quality audio, video, a radio and voice recording. However, navigation can be frustrating.
3. Cowon iAudio 9
- Reviewed on: 16 March 10
- RRP: £169 inc VAT for 8GB version
- Rating:

The Cowon iAudio 9 is slim, lightweight, and power-packed and offers respectable sound. Make sure you are comfortable with the touchpad first though.
2. Cowon iAudio V5
- Reviewed on: 30 June 10
- RRP: £309 inc. VAT
- Rating:

The Cowon V5 (32GB version) costs £309 which is a bit steep when you can get a 64GB Apple iPod touch for £306. The V5 for is those dedicated users who need a portable media player that provides superior audio/video playback and a good connectivity option (SPDIF and HDMI). But for the rest, get the iPod touch.
1. Apple iPod touch 4G [PCA]
- Reviewed on: 23 September 10
- RRP: 8GB: £189 inc VAT
- Rating:

The new iPod Touch is the best dedicated music player that Apple has released to date. The 'Retina' display, iOS4 and the faster processor mean that listening to music, playing games and surfing the Web are easier and more enjoyable than with its predecessors.
