Group test: What's the best business PC?

5. Eclipse Precision A856F85

Eclipse Precision A856F85
  • Reviewed on: 25 July 13
  • RRP: £549 inc. VAT
  • Rating: Rated 7 out of 10

Not particularly fast but fast enough, the AMD-based Eclipse is still over £500 but offers an excellent IPS monitor for less money than competition in this group. It's built into an angular gaming system case. Warranty terms could be better.

4. Dino PC Synergy 4430

Dino PC Synergy 4430
  • Reviewed on: 26 July 13
  • RRP: £569 inc VAT & delivery
  • Rating: Rated 7 out of 10

Dino PC's Synergy 4430 is pretty slow, but comes with a high-quality ergonomic 23-inch monitor, 1 TB of storage and superior warranty terms. Performance of this system is still far beyond requirements.

3. Wired2Fire Wired2 Business Accelerate

Wired2Fire Wired2 Business Accelerate
  • Reviewed on: 4 July 13
  • RRP: £689 inc VAT and Delivery
  • Rating: Rated 7 out of 10

The Business Accelerate from Wired2Fire delivered the highest speed and offers a unique dual-monitor solution which can significantly boost productivity for power users. Removing one of these displays brings the price more in line with the competition, but it remains considerably over-powered as an office PC.

2. Chillblast Fusion Opal

Chillblast Fusion Opal
  • Reviewed on: 25 July 13
  • RRP: £549 inc VAT and delivery
  • Rating: Rated 7 out of 10

The Chillblast Fusion Opal delivers very good performance and a large, high-quality monitor while maintaining a affordable price. No SSD is included, so it won’t have quite the zip of other systems. A reassuring two-year collect-and-return warranty is included.

1. Aria Gladiator Logic N200-3220M

Aria Gladiator Logic N200-3220M
  • Reviewed on: 3 July 13
  • RRP: £509.98 inc VAT and delivery
  • Rating: Rated 8 out of 10

Ignore the lower benchmark numbers: the Gladiator Logic N200-3220M offers a surprisingly useful number of features and decent build quality. Built-in Wi-Fi is a bonus and the solid-state drive makes up for the more modest processor. Its one year return-to-base warranty is a little disappointing, however.
