How to watch the iPhone 6 launch live video
Apple's iPhone 6 launch live stream will be available at the Apple events website. Simply go to the site to watch the 'special event' but there are, as usual, a few hoops to jump through in order to enjoy the show.
The good news is that anybody can access the website - the bad news is that not everyone will be able to watch the iPhone 6 launch live stream. Apple restricts live streams of its big launch events so that only existing Apple users can see them. So if you have an iPhone or iPad, or a Mac, you will be able to view the live video. Just remember to watch via the Safari web browser, as other browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and IE won't work with Apple's stream.
"Live streaming video requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later," warns Apple.
Apple TV owners will also be able to watch the iPhone launch event. So in the unlikely event that you own an Apple TV and no other device, you will be able to see the event on the TV. You will of course require a good web connection. And remember that a 3G or 4G connection will likely end up costing you a lot, so it is best to be on Wi-Fi if you are streaming to an iPad or iPhone.
However you watch, the iPhone 6 launch event will begin at 6pm UK time on Tuesday 9 September, so join us for live coverage and everything you need to know about the new products afterwards.
