Having spent several years setting records for the most driving tests failed in my area, I felt that I, more than anyone, needed the services of Focus Multimedia's successor to its popular Driving Test Success Theory program.
This latest version has all the old features, but they're now joined by a battery of tests and videos that delve into almost every aspect of driving. You even get some insurance offers thrown in for good measure.
Understandably, plenty of time is devoted to the theory test. Hitting you with question after question, DTS ensures you have plenty of opportunities to drill yourself. You can click to get a full explanation of any answer, although it would make for a faster pace if the program automatically gave you the explanation. And you can opt to go through some official style examinations to ensure you know exactly what to expect.
Many hazard perception tests are included – 125 to be precise. There are extra tests for road signs and a digital version of the Highway Code is bundled, too.
DTS includes a number of instructional videos and tutorials. Poor production values, patchy sound quality and presenters that lack the glitz and glamour of an average TV host are impossible to avoid. But DTS does cram in as many useful facts and tutorials as possible.
