Animals is a simple little iPhone app, aimed squarely at the booming iPhone toddler market.
On the single page there are 20 small - maybe too small for the less dextrous kiddies – icons showing common farm animals and a few more exotic wild creatures.
Tap the icons and the relevant animal noise is emitted. You can tap a few quickly to get a riot of animal noises going, and it’s fun to mix the noise of a roaring lion with those of a cow and dolphin for imaginary beast-fighting.
59p is not a lot of money, but it does seem a bit steep for 20 animal noises.
My two-year-old daughter loves it, but anyone in the same room will soon grow to despise it.
