PNY Attaché 'Lady' review

£16 inc VAT for 4GB

Manufacturer: PNY

Our Rating: We rate this 3 out of 5

If you're prone to losing the cap of your USB flash drives, the PNY Attaché may well appeal.

If you're prone to losing the cap of your USB flash drives, the PNY Attaché may well appeal.

The PNY Attaché is a cleverly designed USB 2.0 flash drive that features a rotating cap that can't be separated from the rest of the stick.

We tested the 4GB 'Lady' version of the PNY Attaché, clad in a suitably feminine pink-and-black floral casing.

The PNY Attaché weighs just 14g and will easily fit in your pocket. Compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Mac OS X and Linux Kernel 2.4 and later, the PNY Attaché achieved a read speed of 17.2 megabytes per second (MBps) – a somewhat mediocre result – and a write speed of 9.5MBps.

Unfortunately, the only added extra with the PNY Attaché is its two-year warranty, which means it offers less value for money than most of the other drives we looked at.

While the Lady Attaché looks stylish, we were disappointed that it doesn't offer any extra functions.
