The LE bag Pro is a rucksack full to the brim with zips, internal zips, pockets and padding, which makes it perfect for protecting your electronics. The flip side is that it lacks any significant space for anything other than those gadgets. See all laptop bag reviews.
But if you’re looking for a bag that will keep your 15- or 17-inch laptop safe on the move then don’t rule out the LE bag Pro just yet. Be.ez clearly takes laptop protection seriously, and has located the large laptop pocket in the very centre of the bag, with double padding at the bottom to protect your computer. Take a look at our STM Velocity Velo 2 laptop bag review.
Behind it are two large mesh pockets which you could use for the power supply and other accessories, and there are small nylon pockets on the outside of the laptop pocket itself.
A front compartment is full of more pockets (some padded, some meshed) for chargers, power leads, pens, folders, business cards and pretty much any other gadget you can think of. The zips extend right to the bottom, so you can really open it up.
We also like the top-mounted zip pouch, which we used to stow a smartphone, and the ‘hidden’ side pockets behind the side flaps, which Velcro to the side of the bag. There’s even a ‘secret’ zip compartment at the bottom which houses an elasticated rain cover that fits over the whole bag.
The downside to all the pockets is that there isn’t any one big space for your other things. Forget about packing a gym kit and a packed lunch in this sack.
It’s best to think of this a dedicated gadget bag, a lot like one of Lowe Pro’s DSLR bags. If that’s what you’re after, then the LE bag Pro has a lot to offer, including a water-resistant outer material made from ballistic nylon. The build quality of the bag is really impressive.
Despite being no bigger than the Dicota BacPac Challenge, the bag weighs in at a hefty 1.5Kg. You’ll appreciate the smaller details, though, such as proper clips to stop the extendable straps flapping around, but note that there’s no chest strap. There’s chunky padding on the straps as well as on the rear of the bag itself.
