InFocus IN36 business projector

Projectors come in many shapes and sizes, and can suit one or half a dozen different purposes. This huge potential for versatility sometimes makes it difficult to pin down who the projector is aimed at. But there are no such problems with the InFocus IN36, a projector which displays its presentational capabilities at every twist and turn.

The InFocus IN36's brightness rating is the first giveaway: 3,000 ansi lumens is far too bright for home cinema use, but it pretty much guarantees that, however much light will be flooding into the room where you're having to give a presentation, the InFocus IN36 will make its image seen.

The InFocus IN36's 1,000:1 contrast ratio isn't as impressive as we might expect from a projector designed to display lots of colours, but it's still a very good figure that should show presentations in full technicolour.

At 2.3kg, InFocus IN36 is fairly lightweight and easy to carry around. Its colour-coded cabling means you can have the projector up and running in a second. The 35db mode is hardly whisper-quiet, but you're unlikely to find it a distraction.

Image quality is good with the InFocus IN36, and you get the bold colours and clear definition of DLP.
