The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is, quite simply, an excellent webcam.

An already good product, the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is made better by a 2Mpl Carl Zeiss lens. It also boasts RightLight technology which automatically helps to boost image quality in unpredictable lighting conditions.

Video can be shot at up to 1,600 x 1,200 resolution. And plug in the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 via a USB 2.0 socket and the QuickCam works right away, software or not.

We found the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000's picture quality impressive, having both clarity and a decent exposure level. The design is contemporary, while a flexible multi-angle stand lets you mount it just about anywhere.

A built-in mic and power-on button balances out the overall look and feel of the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000.

Good Points

Excellent quality picture and sound. I use it with Skype, Live Messenger and recording fun videos with our children (they love seeing themselves on the computer!). It can do a load more stuff but I'm not that into video-making type stuff so only use the basic functions - bought it primarily to talk to friend who emigrated to Australia and have since recommended it to 2 other people and bought it for my brother for Christmas! Very easy to set up and install. Sits on top of flat top screen with no probs - balances so can be easily adjusted. Read reviews before purchasing and installing so downloaded software from web didn't use the disc supplied.

Bad Points

Just as the reviews said, there were teething problems with the software and I had to fiddle about with settings, uninstall/re-install etc but I had read about this before and decided that it was still worth buying as all the reviews said that apart from the difficulty and annoyance of the initial installation and setting up of the cam it was still well worth the money. I agree, just read other users' tips on what to do after initial installation to actually make the thing work properly. It was only sound I couldn't get initially but this is still really annoying as there's no point using it without sound but I didn't panic and just had a look at what I could do to sort it out. My brother had initial installation problems (he uses it with a laptop) but that was just sound and I sorted that for him quicker than I sorted my own initial problems!!

Good Points

Amazing product, variety of fun filters which totally change your webcam conversation. You are able to make videos and take pictures with 1 click. Very easy and simple to use. I would recommend my friends to use this. It is definately worth the money. The camera itself is very clear, and it is able to zoom in and out and also able to face track so it moves where you move. Excellent product.. 10+++
