The Edifier Sound to Go is a  lightweight and easy to carry portable laptop speaker designed to let users enjoy music stored on their laptop. However, while its sleek conical design and brushed-aluminium case look good, does its audio quality equal its stylish design?

It's certainly lightweight, at just 333g, it wasn't a struggle to carry round, and as it's only 261mm long, it fitted neatly in our laptop bag. A USB cable is bundled with the speaker and is used to power the device and connect it to your laptop. As soon as we plugged the Edifier Sound To Go into our PC it was ready to use.

The Sound to Go features two 1W speakers with magnetically shielded 30x70mm drivers, and we founded they produced a clear and sharp sound, without distortion on the bass. The volume was easy to control using a small button on the right-hand side of the speaker.

We loved the velour travel pouch and the addition of an aux jack so users can enjoy music stored on other devices through the speaker.
