This iPod classic case does a pretty good job of looking like leather, with the tan interior particularly realistic.

There's no doubt that iPods need protection from bumps and scratches. But how much do you want to spend on a skin or case?

Its Leather Style Protective Case (Apple 2G iPod classic 80GB/120GB) is similar but less posh - it's not real leather so the price is lower and vegetarians remain happy.

This case does a pretty good job of looking like leather, with the tan interior particularly realistic.

There are the usual cut-outs for iPod cable and headphones, although the Hold slider is covered. (Some might say that stops accidental usage of the Hold slider; others would say it means you have to flip open the case to access it.) The case shuts with a slim magnetic clasp.

There's two interior slip pockets for cash, credit cards or travel cards - but no belt-clip option.

Proporta’s Leather Style Protective Case for Apple iPod classic (80GB/120GB) does a good job of looking leathery while avoiding the higher cost. It’s neat and the card/cash pockets are handy.
