Cube247's Leonis ST19 is a powerful high-end desktop PC with great all-round performance and superior build-quality.

The Cube247 Leonis ST19 will be available from 16 October 2008.

Long-term champions of the quad-core processor, Cube247 has equipped the Cube247 Leonis ST19 with Intel's Core 2 Quad Q9550 - a CPU that has been performing very well in our recent tests. Quad-core chips generally offer slower clock speeds than their dual-core counterparts and have therefore offered lesser performance in many applications, while delivering greatly increased speeds in newer software designed to take advantage of them.

However, the performance of the Q9550 is so good that any compromises in clock speed are considerably less than with the previous generation of quad-cores. With a WorldBench 6 score of 122 the Cube247 Leonis ST19 comes in faster than some E8500 and E8600-based PCs, although it can't touch the very fastest examples unless you're running multi-threaded applications.

The ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 delivers superb gaming performance from a single card. This dual-processor card transparently combines the power of two HD 4870s to deliver superb performance across the board. Testing the Cube247 Leonis ST19 we measured 51 frames per second in our standard Crysis test at 1024 by 768 pixels with high-quality settings in DirectX 9 mode.

The Cube247 Leonis ST19 is housed in Antec's P182 case. This incorporates convenient features such as removable drive bays, cable management, and external fan speed controls. Two 500MB drives have been fitted, and there's plenty of room for further expansion.

The Asus P5Q-E motherboard is a premium model, supporting Express Gate technology and Crossfire X should you which to add an additional graphics card as an upgrade. In the Cube247 Leonis ST19, it comes fitted with 8GB of RAM as standard, so Vista Home Premium 64-bit has been installed to enable you to use it all.

Hanns.G's 28in HG281 monitor is a great match for the high-end Cube247 Leonis ST19. It shares the same 1920 by 1200 pixel resolution usually found on 24in displays, but offers a much larger screen area. This means that text and icons are rendered more readable while movies and games become much more immersive and involving. You'll also get full 1080p HD playback from the LG dual-format Blu-ray/HD DVD-compatible DVD burner and enjoy surround sound through the Creative T6100 5.1 speakers.
