Chillblast’s Fusion Quantum desktop PC has a very well-balanced spec and delivers strong performance. It scored an outstanding 175 points in WorldBench 6, while an overclockable i7-2600K processor and Freezer 7 Pro CPU cooler provide the potential for more power.

A standard 8GB of DDR3 RAM and 1TB hard drive are fitted to the Chillblast Fusion Quantum's Asus P8P67 motherboard. USB 3.0 and 6 gigabits per second (Gbps) SATA are supported but, unlike the ‘Pro’ version of this board, it has no eSATA port. Chillblast has instead provided this functionality via an expansion bracket, which also has a pair of USB ports.

Power PCs chart ranking

  1. Dino PC Ravenous 2600K
  2. Eclipse Platinum i726n560
  3. Chillblast Fusion Quantum
  4. Arbico Elite i7-2695 HD
  5. Chillblast Fusion Zenith

An ATI Radeon HD 6950 graphics card with 2GB of video RAM delivers very good gaming framerates, even if the Chillblast Fusion Quantum's performance isn’t up to the standard of the Dino PC’s HD 6970 or the Eclipse’s two-card nVidia setup.

The Asus VH242H monitor offers multiple inputs, including HDMI, and uniquely supports S/PDIF audio out. Chillblast also throws in a Blu-ray drive and a set of five speakers and a subwoofer with the Fusion Quantum desktop PC.
