There have been some great duo's over the years, Sony and Ericsson, Bang and Olufsen, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to name but a new. Sennheiser and Adidas Originals are the new kids on the block and if the Sennheiser HD 25-1-11 by Originals are anything to go by, they've got a beautiful relationship ahead of them.

The main reason that these two heavyweight brands have teamed up, is to create a set of headphones that combine 'sound and style' for the DJ market. I can say with confidence that they've certainly got the style side of things spot on. The flashes of electric blue and subtle iconic Adidas originals logo, on these slim and lightweight cans is nothing sort of beauty. DJs and commuters alike will both want to show these off on their heads and that surely is a sign that their designers have got something seriously right.

When it comes to sound quality, I can say with equal confidence that the noises coming out of these headphones are as clear and pure as I have heard. The playback is loud and clear on everything from Simon and Garfunkel to The Vaccines - and that's a pretty wide spectrum to cover. The bass rubbles down as low you dare to go, while the highs are perfectly clear and crisp, there's not a hint of distortion insight. We really can't praise the sound quality highly enough! See specifications tab for full playback details.

The one downside that we experienced while using these headphones is that after wearing them for about 20-minutes, they become pretty uncomfortable. This may not be a problem for the superstar DJs of the world, but for the average-Joe it is a bit of a pain - especially when you are paying £200 for the privilege. On the plus side though the ear cups are rotatable, which allows easier one-ear listening - this will come as a massive plus point to the brands target audience of DJs.

Conclusion:

The Sennheiser HD 25-1-11 by Originals are a hugely impressive set of headphones, with brilliant sound quality and the looks to boot. If you're serious about audio quality then you will love these. Similarly if you're serious about your DJ-ing then you should seriously consider investing in a pair of these too, as the aesthetics are almost as impressive as its sound.
