We’ve been impressed with the Juggernaut XL's systems using the Cooler Master CM 690 II system case in previous reviews and this Ivy Bridge system looks very well put together, taking full advantage of the internal cable management and making use of a Corsair Hydro H60 all-in-one liquid CPU cooler. Vibox has taken the Intel Core i5-3570K up from 3.4GHz to 4.4GHz, a respectable if not over-ambitious overclock and teamed it up with an EVGA-branded nVidia GeForce GTX 670 graphics card to offer excellent performance for the price. Visit Group test: what's the best graphics card?

The Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H motherboard used here offers fewer goodies than the similar model used by Quiet PC. Among other omissions, it offers inferior audio support and lacks built-in Wi-Fi, although Vibox has added the latter via a plug-in card. The system case is also the “Lite” version of the CM 690 II and comes without the top-mount SATA dock.

Our main gripe with the Juggernaut XL is that, despite its 4.4GHz overclock is just isn’t very fast. Quiet PC’s Serenity Z77 achieved the same 200 points from WorldBench with a system clocked at only 4.2GHz and with half the available RAM.

Thankfully, gaming frame rates didn’t seem to suffer in the same way, and the Juggernaut XL easily kept up with the rest of the pack.

The PC comes with a 24in BenQ G2420HDBL monitor which is a good match for the level of graphic performance provided. You also get a decent input devices in the form of the Arctosa Black keyboard and Death Adder Re-Spawn mouse.

OUR VERDICT

Despite excellent build quality and superb gaming peripherals, the price of the Juggernaut XL still feels a little high when compared to the competition especially when you consider the less feature-rich motherboard and lacklustre application performance.
