Braebo’s Enforcer is a full gaming PC kit incorporating all you need to start playing right away. It’s a powerful PC, incorporating an Intel Core i5-3570K which has been overclocked to 4.5GHz, placing it in the mid-range of the speed boosts achieved with this processor. See Group test: What's the best gaming PC?

Housed in a Stealthy Cooler Master Storm Enforcer system case, this PC keeps its drive bays under wraps behind closed doors until access to the Lite-On Blu-ray drive is needed. At the top of the case, four front-facing USB ports are provided, two of these USB 3.0.
Inside, we find a Gigabyte Z77 D3H motherboard housing a generous 16GB of DDR3 memory and a processor cooled by a large Cooler Master heatsink. This was a little wonky in our review sample although not to the detriment of its performance. See also Arbico 5300-HD Media Centre

However, overall benchmarking results were somewhat less than stellar. Although the processor is certainly a speedy one, PCMark makes liberal use of the graphics card when determining overall system performance and the Braebo Enforcer comes with one of the less powerful GPUs of this round-up, an nVidia GeForce GTX 660Ti. Take a look at Yoyotech Warbird 3570XTA too.

That “Ti” suffix denotes a marked improvement of the standard GTX 660 found in the Overclockers UK system, and gaming performance at Medium quality settings was pretty good. However, step up to Ultra quality settings and Braebo’s PC starts to lag behind the GTX 670 and GTX 680s found elsewhere – and not always in more expensive systems. See all PC reviews.

The system includes a 120GB SanDisk SSD and a roomy 2TB hard drive, although this is a slower 5400rpm model.

The Cooler Master Storm branding is continued into the peripherals. The CM Storm QuickFire Pro keyboard incorporates fast Cherry MX Red switches with multimedia shortcuts and partial LED backlighting, while the CM Storm Sentinel Advance II mouse offers a super-high adjustable resolution up to 8200dpi, built in macro memory, programmable buttons and multicolour LED lighting effects.

The Enforcer comes with a 24in Edge 10 display, which is adequate but underwhelming in basic image quality, and it lacks an HDMI input.

OUR VERDICT

The Enforcer comes in a cool-looking case and offers some good gaming peripherals, but a relatively underpowered graphics card results in some lacklustre performance despite its fast processor and a heap of overclocking. Its price is also rather high. You can get more for less.
