The Google I/O conference is an annual event aimed at developers. It's highly technical in nature.

The I/O stands for 'Input/Output' or 'Innovation in the Open' - take your pick.

I do not know about I/O but I enjoyed the roasting a senior Google Exec got from the Parliamentary committee today - trying to claim all their UK advertising is booked in Ireland and paying very little UK Corporation tax.
