Thieves steal van load of security software

compact disc blank_50Hapless thieves held up a delivery driver in East Anglia and robbed him of thousands and thousands of CDs and DVDs. Unfortunately, the robbers weren't rewarded with advance copies of the hotly anticipated Arctic Monkeys album or the latest Hollywood blockbuster.

Instead, they found themselves with several hundred copies of the CD and DVD cover discs that usually adorn your monthly copy of PC Advisor. And, since we always have the security and integrity of your PC in mind, what the thieves actually have is a job lot of security software that they may find hard to fence.

The upshot is there may be a small delay for PC Advisor subscribers awaiting delivery of their next magazine - we have had to arrange for new discs to be replicated and sent to their original destination at our Norwich finishing house.

Still, we're sure you'll agree, it's worth the wait - and a great excuse.

For non-subscribers, the next issue of PC Advisor officially hits the newsstands on 10 September.
