We've been invited to carry out a structured beta test of a new version of Symantec Norton 360 (version 3.0).
For those of you who aren't familiar with 360 it's an all-in-one security product from Symantec, and you can read about the current version if you click here.
The idea is that we'll invite a team of selected forum members to download the beta product from a special link, and once it's installed we'll be asking you to participate in some question and answer sessions in a special forum that will be open only to those of you who are selected for the test. The forum will run for about a week, early in January 2009, and on completion of the Norton test cycle you'll receive a free copy of the final product version, worth £59.99
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of a new product version, and I look forward to receiving lots of applications. We plan to run more special beta testing forums in future, so if you're not successful on this occasion there'll soon be a chance to try again.
To apply to participate in the beta programme please email me at moderator@idg.co.uk by 21st December and put the words 'Norton test' in the subject line of your message. Please don't apply unless you're prepared to install the software provided by Symantec, and run it for at least the duration of our special forum test sessions. If you're selected I'll notify you before Christmas.
