Technology to enrage the public

Traffic wardens with camcorders on their heads

Following the shock news that estate agents aren't generally liked, we learn today that traffic wardens are to wear camcorders on their heads. This mobile CCTV initiative is certain to be the straw that breaks the camel's back in terms of tech hatred. Expect a new Luddite revolution as the public rebels against its natural enemies.

Did you know that traffic wardens can now also issue fixed penalties for anti-social behaviour, such as littering, flyposting, graffiti and allowing dogs to poo on the pavement?

I thought that's what the police are for. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for flogging people who do all the above. But surely a PC with a PC in his pocket is better than a traffic warden with a wobbly webcam stuck to his head.
