The Nifty MiniDrive is, well, nifty, to say the very least. With sixteen days left to go, this Kickstarter project can only be described as 'wildly successful'--it's currently over 2410 percent funded. But, then again, given the fact that the Nifty MiniDrive lets MacBook users get around the usage of those troublesome external hard disk drives, was there any doubt that the project would be a hit?
The Nifty MiniDrive is actually pretty simple. To use the MiniDrive, you insert a microSD card into the gadget before you slot it into your MacBook's SD card slot. That's it. Short of getting someone else to do the insertion for you, there's no way the procedure could get any easier.
Needless to say, the guys behind this project don't really any additional funding. However, if you've got $25 to spare (that's the minimum amount required before they'll send you a MiniDrive of your own) and the need for a good way to store important data, this may be an excellent time to throw your money at them.
