What's your home telephone number? Now your best friend's? Brother's birthday? Come on! If you're sitting there going 'Errrrrrrrr...', that’s because you brain has been damaged - by your mobile phone, and don't forget it.
According to a new survey for Puzzler Brain Trainer magazine, our ability to memorise even the simplest things is being lost as we now rely more and more on phones and electronic organisers to store these details for us.
A recent poll of 3,000 people revealed that a quarter couldn’t remember their own landline number, while a whopping two-thirds couldn't reel off three birthdays of friends or family, saying they would have to look it up on their mobiles or handhelds.
Should we be worried, or is this just another example of technology making our lives easier?
Er, sorry, what was the question?
