I'm loving some of the new features released with the free iPhone 1.1.3 update, but the texting abilities are still rather primitive - not really good enough for a mobile that is rather boastful of its innovative features.

For instance, the just-released functionality that allows users to send a text to multiple people is both wonderful and kinda annoying - was it held back from the original release just so Apple could announce it later to massed user cheers (something I have long suspected Apple of planning for its products, as it makes Steve Jobs a hero and saviour twice over)?

So I joyfully sent out a text to 48 contacts - only to be informed that it didn't go to all the people, and I should "Try again". I tried again, and again, and then was informed by the iPhone that some sort of error had occurred. I can't give you the whole error message as it quickly disappeared from the screen and SMS box.

I now know that some of the people got the message (they were nice enough to respond), but surely the iPhone should let me know which contacts didn't work? Or will we get that 'feature' in iPhone 1.1.4?
