Reports that Samsung was raising prices on Apple's component purchases may be greatly exaggerated. An unnamed Samsung official has denied the 20-percent price increase, saying that prices are set at the beginning of the year and can't change easily. Beginning of the year, you say? Huh. What month is it again?

'Memory' board game trademark threatens several iOS games (Gamasutra)

German game company Ravensburger is apparently throwing its weight around, forcing Apple to crack down on many iOS games violating the company's "Memory" trademark. Apps in violating countries using the title will have to be removed or renamed to something like "Game in Which You Turn Over Two Cards, And if They Match, You Win!"

Apple has reportedly confirmed that it plans to open the first of its retail stores in Brazil, located in Rio de Janeiro, and seems to also be staffing up for an outlet in Istanbul as well. No, before you ask, not Constantinople.
