The England and Wales Court of Appeal was not thrilled by the wording of the message Apple posted on its site in regards to its case with Samsung. Given that the court has decided that Apples apology was false and misleading, it has ordered Cupertino to pay for all of Samsungs lawyer fees and has also slammed the company for a lack of integrity. Clearly, Apple should have used a post-it note instead.

Samsung hits Apple with 20% price hike: report (MarketWatch)

As if Apples not already giving enough money to Samsung, the South Korea-based company has reportedly jacked its price on a chip for the iPhone and iPad by 20 percent. It seems Apple couldnt find a replacement provider for the part, and so has agreed to pay the increased price. At this point, Apple should probably just file for a joint checking account with Samsung.

Apple pays Swiss rail $21mn over clock dispute: report (AFP)

Speaking of Apple paying out, the company reportedly handed over about $21 million to Swiss rail operator SBB for the rights to use their iconic clock face on the iPad. As a bonus, whenever the clock strikes the hour, a cuckoo will now pop out of the icon.

Because with the fourth-generation iPad following its predecessor by only six months, all reason is out the window.
