TomTom offers drivers Top Gear's best routes

Whether it was Jeremy Clarkson's trip through the Swiss Alps in a Bugatti Veyron or James May's meander though France in a Peugeot, there's no doubt plenty of Brits who would love to be taking a car for a spin along a route in Europe once travelled by the presenters of BBC's Top Gear.

Their routes always feature open roads, tight corners and stunning views, which combine to create a fun and adrenaline-filled drive. With this in mind satnav manufacturer TomTom has compiled a list of the 30 best European drives.

The routes, which are available to download free of charge from TomTom's website, have been compiled with the help of Top Gear magazine and include Italy's Stelvio pass, which at 2,575 metres is the second-highest mountain road in the Alps, and the Irish West Coast.

"With these routes on their TomTom devices, drivers can see the world from the eyes of the team at Top Gear magazine," said Corinne Vigreux, managing director, TomTom.

Unfortunately the drives don't come with the use of a supercar, so looks like I'll be climbing the Alps in my Vauxhall Corsa. Do you think I'll be able to tempt Hamster along for the ride?
