Couch potatoes in the US are rejoicing. They now have one more reason never to leave their sofa. Amazon and TiVo have expanded their integrated download service, so users can order movies and shows straight from the TV, with a few clicks of their favorite peanut-shaped remote.

There are about 10,000 movies and TV shows available for purchase and rent via this new, lazy-man's method in the States. Before, if people wanted to use the Unbox service to load movies onto your box, they'd have to go to a computer and do the ordering there. Oh, and in case parents are worried about the kiddies racking up the download bill, they're required to set a PIN number that must be entered in order for any purchase to take place.
