Alternatives to Internet Explorer

As a modern, fast and efficient way of bringing the web to your screen IE is a decent application, but there are alternatives that you may like to try instead.

It’s not unusual for people to simply use Internet Explorer as their default web browser. As a modern, fast and efficient way of bringing the web to your screen IE is a decent application, but there are alternatives that you may like to try instead.

One of the most popular alternative browsers is Firefox. It is a fast and secure browser that has hundreds of add-ons that can help you customize the software so that it’s even more useful. There are Twitter tools, advert management add-ons and a host of other useful little apps that help to customize the web to suit your needs.

Chrome from Google has the advantage of helping to contain and manage the huge range of services offered by Google. You can use it to keep track of your email and synchronize bookmarks between machines, for example. Chrome is famed for its simplicity and browsing speeds as well as being compatible with the most modern web standards.

Opera, like Chrome is well known for fast and compatible browsing. The latest version has a Turbo feature that even shows you exactly how much it has decreased the page load times. Opera also has a host of extensions that you can use to make the program more than just a simple web browser.

Whichever web browser you decide to use they are all very similar. You may find that it comes down to simply how much you like or dislike the interface. Google Chrome is perfect if you use other services like Gmail, documents and YouTube. Firefox has lots of customisation options and Opera is incredibly speedy. Best of all each of the browsers are free to download so you can try them all to see which one suits you best.
