PC Advisor is delighted to announce the winner of its inaugural Helproom Angel of the Year award. Forum member VoG, please step forward and take a bow.
Helproom Angel of the Year is just one way in which the PC Advisor team can recognise the tireless work of thousands of PC Advisor forum members. There are almost 300,000 registered users of Europe's largest online technology forum, offering free technical support and consumer advice, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Taking into account the volume and quality of assistance offered in the PC Advisor Helproom over the past 12 months, PC Advisor is proud to announce that the winner of PC Advisor Helproom Angel of the year 2010 is VoG.
In his citation explaining the decision, Forum Editor Peter Thomas said: "I have known VoG in a virtual sense since 2003, since when he has helped to resolve thousands of Excel-related problems in our online Helproom.
"VoG's reputation as an Excel expert is second to none, and his friendly manner in the forum is an example to others. Regular forum users know that when an Excel problem is posted it won't be long before VoG is on the scene, and what follows is an object lesson in how to make Excel show its paces.
"A forum like ours is only as good as the people who give freely of their time and their expertise, and VoG has been doing that without any thought of thanks or recognition for years. I had no hesitation in selecting him for this, our first 'Helproom Angel of the year' award.
"On a personal note I would like to say thank you, VoG, for all your hard work over the years - it's a pleasure to have you on board, and a pleasure to be able to acknowledge your invaluable contribution to our success with this award. I hope that we can work together for a long time to come."
Anyone can search and read the millions of forum posts (answering just about any PC-related question you can imagine). If you want to ask a question in one of the forums (Helproom, Consumerwatch, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Networking, Business, Digital World, Absolute Beginners, Mobile World, Games, Web Design and Speakers Corner), or participate in the discussion, registering is free.
