Internet meltdown predicted tomorrow

Internet & BroadbandPrepare for internet meltdown tomorrow as the end of domestic Internet access is predicted for Friday May 15, 2009.

This Friday (May 15) is Silver Surfers' Day - all about wrinklies enjoying IT apparently. All the old people of the UK will be switching off Countdown and booting up their netbooks to see the wonders of the web. No more browsing the library shelves for Catherine Cookson novels. Now the seniors will all be browsing Twitter and downloading grey pornography on a grand scale.

Which is unfortunate as the same day is also National Work From Home Day.

With all the old-timers logging on and everyone else at home from work cruising Facebook there's a good chance that the country's broadband network will collapse under the strain.

Blame the Internet Armageddon on the old codgers and office dodgers.
