Comic Relief offers digital red noses

As part of Comic Relief's 'Do Something Funny for Money' campaign, the charity is encouraging users to donate money to the cause by offering web users the chance to put a digital red nose on their Twitter profile pic.

In the words of Hale and Pace's memorable Red Nose Day anthem 'The Stonk' (yes, I'm showing my age), you can "stick a red nose on your konk" by visiting the Red Nose Day 2009 website. For a £1 donation, web users can then upload an image of themselves and place one of three different-style red noses on the image.

The website then allows you to download the image file straight to your hard drive, in preparation for adding to your Twitter profile. Facebook, MySpace and Bebo users are also given a link, which allows them to post their red nose day image straight to their profile, along with a message, which will hopefully encourage their friends to donate to the charity too.

Comic Relief takes place on BBC1 on Friday.
