Model takes legal action over Google blog slur

A model who once graced the cover of style-bible Vogue is taking legal action against Google after a blogger labelled her a 'skank' and a 'ho'.

Liskula Cohen hopes that by taking the search engine company to court, it will be forced to reveal the identity of the blogger, who also made remarks about Cohen's appearance, hygiene and sexual conduct, on the 'Skanks In NYC' blog, which can be found on Google's Blogger.com site.

Cohen, who has also modelled for Armani, said: "I was shocked and embarrassed to see photo captions and commentary used to describe me as a promiscuous woman who is filthy, disgusting, foul and a whore," in court documents.

Should the blogger's identity be revealed, Cohen plans to sue for libel. "Defamatory statements describing me as a 'skank' and a 'ho' affect my reputation and desirability for endorsing products," she said.
