Google embarrassed at Duke of Edinburgh gaffe

When the Queen yesterday visited Google's UK HQ it was, of course, not without the customary gaffe courtesy of the Duke of Edinburgh - although in this case it wasn't his fault.

After being shown an aerial view of Buckingham Palace, Prince Philip asked to see the Google HQ in which he was standing - it's actually situated on Buckingham Palace Road.

The Google guys found the address, but no building - as the satellite image was taken when it was vacant land. D'oh!

Mysteriously, Google's HQ is present today, so The Earth nerds must have got spying pretty quickly - see below (Buck Palace followed by Belgrave House, Googe's HQ).

Also all credit to the Duke for asking Google developer advocate Matthew Trewhella, dressed in a hooded top, chinos and trainers, whether he'd "just come back from jogging?"
