Prince William gets on Facebook

I'm not sure how he can fit in such a dangerously addictive passtime to his bulging schedule, but bonnie Prince William has a Facebook site.

Well, someone who claims to be the heir to the heir to Queen Elizabeth has a Facebook site. Not being close to Prince William, it is difficult for me to confirm his identity (he hasn't yet accepted me as his Facebook friend).

Buckingham Palace told the London Evening Standard that Prince William's Facebook antics were "a private matter", which seems strange given the nature of public social-networking sites, but there you go.

It won't seem that private when he starts getting spammed by all his lazy mates. Facebook handles some 600 million searches and more than 30 billion page views each month. Most of them from me responding to the 30 tiresome: 'Friend X has posted a comment on a picture of you' emails that drop into my inbox each and every day.
