Google to launch source-code search engine

Google has created a specialised search engine for developers that’s designed to find source code publicly available on the web.

The code search engine should debut later this week and is aimed at helping professional and nonprofessional programmers find source code online. Google also plans to release an API (application programming interface) to allow external developers to tap into the search engine.
