Million Dollar attack

After netting over a million dollars and selling the last piece of his website on eBay for $38,000 (about £21,000) Alex Tew's new-found wealth has brought him to the attention of nefarious internet types.

He was sent an email threatening a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack if he didn't cough up $5,000 (about £2,800), according to the BBC. He ignored the email, and a subsequent one for $50,000 (£28,000).

Alex confirmed on his blog yesterday that the site had been attacked. The matter is being investigated by the FBI.
