Opinion: Tweaks for HTC One
Your HTC One may rank among the best Android phones ever, but that doesn't mean there's no room for improvement. In particular, you may find yourself hating HTC's various software "enhancements" and longing for a more pure Android environment. Although you can find a Google Play edition of the HTC One that comes bearing Google's stock Android with no modifications, that model doesn't work on all carriers, and sometimes it isn't worthwhile to break your contract just for a slightly better handset.
-
Opinion: Make your Galaxy S4 more like stock Android, without rooting
The moment Google announced the Google Play edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4, you could almost hear the buyer's remorse from millions of people who had already picked up the regular version of the handset. Not only is the Google Play edition of the phone free from bloatware, but it also benefits from timely updates similar to Google's line of Nexus devices. Suddenly, that pricey new phone you signed a 2-year contract for isn't looking as lustrous as when you first got it.

Opinion: No waiting rooms, no copay: 6 apps to get a doctor's advice
The last time I saw my doctor, I arrived about 12 minutes early for my appointment. She arrived 22 minutes late, to find me waiting outside of her locked office. Which means I'd been there for over half an hour before I even saw the waiting room. Now, I appreciate the test of both my patience and my blood pressure, but it seriously cannot continue to take me three hours to get a prescription filled. In the wise words of Sweet Brown: Ain't nobody got time for that.

Opinion: Gesundheit! Six apps that ease the hell of allergy season
I have Kleenex stuffed into the pockets of every coat I own, my makeup bag holds eyedrops and Claritin, and I keep an ample supply of Benadryl at my desk. Given those details, you may have been able to correctly guess that I suffer from allergies. What am I allergic to? It's hard to say, since every time I've gone for an allergy test I react to literally everything they test me for. Nothing like getting 185 needless needle shots to the arm, am I right?

Opinion: The Macalope: Clearly wrong
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark! Assuming that "Denmark" is what we're calling the space between Henry Blodget's ears, and not Cupertino. And why not? Both have seasonal variations of daylight and require frequent land reclamation.
