After a seven-year hiatus, Electronic Arts recently announced the return of Red Alert, the hugely popular real time strategy (RTS) game.

For the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, according to the game's developer EA, Command & Conquer Red Alert 'takes players on an epic adventure to a breathtaking alternate future spawned by time travel run amok'.

Mike Verdu, General Manager of EA Los Angeles, said: "With Red Alert 3, our team is continuing that proud tradition by introducing genre-first features like co-operative campaign play, which rewards veterans and casual players alike. In Red Alert 3, friends and family can always have your back!"

The following video preview for Command & Conquer Red Alert features relatively tame simulated violence and an interview with the game's toothsome female star. It may not be suitable for younger children, so please don't click through if you're likely to be offended. VIDEO ON NEXT PAGE > >
