Microsoft plays dirty at Sony's PS3 party

Microsoft came over all childish last night, as Sony launched its PS3 games console.

The PS3 launch event in London saw Sony give away a HDTV (worth a staggering £2,500 each) to everyone present. It then had the courtesy to pay for free cab rides home.

Meanwhile pesky Microsoft staff handed out chairs to those PS3 fans that had queued all night. The chairs had a web address printed on them – anyone visiting the website was met with an Xbox 360 branded site that poked fun at Sony, using side-splitting statements such as: "Welcome to the next generation" and then "Sony… your late".

Oh, you guys and your funny japes!

Pot, kettle, Vista anyone?
