Microsoft has some impressive stuff in its research lab, ranging from robot programming tools to new touchscreen tech, but this one is straight from science fiction. Microsoft's universal translator can take anything you say and translate it into a foreign language...using your own voice instead of a computerized one. Clearly, we are living in the future. GM and NASA Develop Robotic Gloves [GM]
The cyborg melding of humans and machines inches ever closer with the introduction of these robotic gloves. But these gloves aren't designed to give you super-human strength; jointly developed by NASA and General Motors, these gloves are instead designed to make it easier for workers to grip tools for long periods of time. GM and NASA say these glove could soon find use on the assembly line...or in space. [via The Verge]
