Bored With Buckyballs? Try Buckycubes

Buckycubes give you yet another plaything to waste valuable time with.

You’ve played with them before; you know you have. They’re tiny, they clank when they smack together, and they provided countless hours of fun. Sadly, sometimes Buckyballs can get boring. But thankfully, we now have some rare-earth magnetic cubes at our disposal.

Buckyballs, those famous magnetic balls that took the internet by storm not that long ago, now have a sibling on the market called Buckycubes--they've got the same Bucky design, the same Bucky goodness. Just like the Buckyballs, the Buckycubes ship with 125 magnetic earth cubes ready for you to bend and twist into a masterpiece.

Unlike their spherical counterparts, Buckycubes only come in one style (chrome), and they may not begin shipping until September 28, 2011.

Sadly, this time around it got a whole lot easier to make that original Buckyballs cube that was in all of the promotional materials that floated around the Internet. Stacking blocks is a little bit easier than stacking balls.
